The Kalamazoo Earth Day 2000 committee invites you to join our local
celebration titled New Energy for a New Era.... Energizing
People-Centered Change on April 22nd at the Nazareth Complex on Gull
Road in Kalamazoo.

We will be having
Speakers on: Global Warming, Responsible Consumerism, and Energy
Essay and Poster Contests for School Children
Educational Displays, Interactive Booths and Alternative Energy Demo's,
and we'll be celebrating with Music

There  are many ways in which you or your organization can get involved
so please let us know if you're interested as soon as possible.

1 Display Booth - showcase and/ or demonstrate what your organization,
neighborhood or school has done to protect world resources. Educational
hands on activities for kids would be great. A table and electricity
will be available upon request for a small donation.

2 Affiliate with Earth Day 2000 - by planning activities in your
neighborhood, school or organization that lead up to April 22nd. Use an
Earth Day theme in your marketing plan for April, or promote the day in
your local newsletter or e-mail list. For more ideas contact Sr. Ginny

3 Event sponsorship - help by donating money to cover expenses for the
Earth Day 2000 celebration at Nazareth Complex April 22nd. Donate
environmentally friendly items to be given away as awards, coupons or
discounts on good or services, or write out a check to Kalamazoo County
Earth Day 2000.
