TOPIC: " New Approaches for Reducing Smog in our Communities"
Alex Johnson will provide an overview on Chicago's Regional Dialogue on Clean
Air and Redevelopment. The Dialogue is a partnership between the City of
Chicago, Metropolitan Mayors Caucus, Illinois EPA and US EPA committed to
developing and implementing strategies to reduce smog and support economic
development. Several innovative approaches for addressing the region's smog
problem have emerged. Mr. Johnson will provide an update on the Regional
Dialogue, why it's good for Western Michigan, and how it can serve as a model
for other communities as well.
