EVENT: FIRST FRIDAY Speaker on the Environment

SPEAKER: Arlin Wasserman, Policy Specialist, Michigan Land Use Institute

TIME:   Noon to 1:30 pm

TOPIC:   " Land Use and Transportation: 
  How Michigan Citizens can Shape the Future ".

Mr. Wasserman talk about current trends in Lansing and the successes of 
communities throughout the state. He will pay special attention to changing 
attitudes about the connection between new roads, land use, and traffic 
congestion as well as recent local battles over road-building proposals and 
current opportunities to reform state transportation policy.
