OIL AND GAS LEASE SALE HELD JUNE 16, 2000.  A total of 13,796.55 acres
of State-owned minerals were offered for lease.  There were 18
registered bidders, with 15 bidders placing the top bids to 11,681.33
acres (8,338.69 acres development, 3,342.64 acres non-development) in
10 counties.  Bonus amount of  $260,721.44 was deposited in the
Michigan Natural Resources Trust Fund and $39,396.56 was deposited to
the Game and Fish Protection Fund, for a total of $300,118.00.  First
year's rental collected at sale totaled $23,362.66.  Total revenue

RAILROAD CORRIDOR LAND ACQUISITION: #19960126, Laketon Avenue
Connector, 9.2 acres and 1.2 linear miles. The former Michigan Shore

A strip of land 60 to 66 ft in width, beginning at the east boundary
of Getty St., running easterly adjacent to the northerly right of way

Otsego Lake and Black Lake (Cheboygan County).  See 2000 Michigan

JULY 16
LAKE STURGEON SPECIAL REGULATIONS FOR LAKE ST. CLAIR AND ST. CLAIR
RIVER: All sturgeon less than 42 inches and greater than 50 inches
must be released immediately. Limit one fish per season for sturgeon
between 42 inches and 50 inches. A locking harvest tag must be
obtained prior to fishing.  Anglers must tag the fish and register it
immediately at a designated registration station.  Contact the DNR for
locations and how to obtain tags.

JULY 15
COYOTE HUNTING SEASON OPENS STATEWIDE FOR RESIDENTS.  

AUGUST 1
APPLICATION DEADLINE FOR ANTLERLESS DEER HUNTING LICENSES.
