Doug & Tom, will address do-it-yourself or small contract home energy
saving improvements. they’ll tell you what ‘s  new in the field of
energy efficiency since it was all the rage in the early 80’s.

Kalamazoo Nature Center, 7000 North Westnedge, Orientation Room

John Barrie will talk about how he added a second story to his ranch
house and brought it up to a five star energy rating, the highest energy
rating for homes. He’ll also  give examples from other renovation
projects his company is working on and how you can incorporate energy
savings into your remodeling job.

Registration for each presentation is $6.00 at the door. Advance payment

All of the speakers will specifically address energy efficiency
opportunities related to foundations, floors, walls and window, ceilings
and roofs, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems, site
orientation, and the availability of home energy ratings. Lots of
information will be available for you to take home for future reference.
