This Friday-Sunday, August 4-6, 2000 is the Great Lakes Renewable Energy
Association's annual Energy Fair in Lansing, Michigan.  In Riverfront Park
there will be vendors showing off the newest in renewable energy and energy
efficiency technologies as well as fun activities for kids.  At Lansing
Community College's Vocational Technical Center there will be seminars on
topics including solar thermal systems, wind power, permaculture and more.
On saturday, special seminars for teachers are designed to help them use
renewable energy as a topic for teaching science and social studies.
Friday night there will be a keynote by Peter Dreyfuss, Director of the
Million Solar Roofs Program.  Get additional information at
