Care about stopping Urban Sprawl??? Join us!!

Come Join the Central Michigan Sierra Club for the Best Bike Tour EVER!

The Central Michigan Sierra Club announces the 2nd Annual Tour de
This family-fun/environmental-education bicycle tour includes a 16-mile,
multi-stop route through Meridian Township. Meridian Township is
currently at the center of landuse controversy.

See and learn about smart growth, the causes of urban sprawl and what we
can all do to stop sprawl from onsite experts! Join local policy-makers
and talk one-on-one about their opinions on landuse issues.

Riders will also enjoy post-ride food, beverages, great door-prizes and
Bus transport will be provided for those who do not wish to cycle. There
is a small registration fee and helmets are required for bikers.

WHEN: Sunday, October 8th, 2000, 9:30 A.M.
WHERE: Beginning/ending at the Farmer’s Market behind Meridian Township
Hall off Central Park or Marsh Road.
WHO:  Sponsor—Sierra Club Central Michigan Group. Co-Sponsors—Sierra
