EVENT: FIRST FRIDAY Speaker on the Environment

SPEAKER: Chuck Pistis, Michigan Sea Grant

  Grand Rapids, MI

TIME:   Noon to 1:30 p.m.

COST:  Lunch $7.00 for members and $8.00 for non-members
  Free to those wishing to bring their own lunch

TOPIC:   "Preventing the Spread of Zebra Mussels and other Exotics".

With over 150 different species of exotics thriving in the Great Lakes
region, some scientists point to this "biological pollution" as the greatest
threat to the Great Lakes ecological system.

Learn how we can a play a role in preventing the new introduction of exotic
species and prevent the spread of existing exotics.
