E-M:/ Farmland Preservation Discussion takes center stage in Macomb

The recent decision by the Macomb County Board of Commissioners to form a 
task force to study the loss of Macomb's open spaces and farmlands AND ways 
to preserve  them appears to be giving the issue a much deserved spotlight 
in the headlines.

Please see the links for today's (3-1) front page Detroit News article 
regarding the loss of farmland in Macomb County and solutions to that 
problem. Included in the article is an on-line survey asking whether county 
tax dollars should be used to save farms.

Thus far, 62% responding said YES!
