E-M:/ Request for Proposals to prepare Remedial Action Plan updates

The Great Lakes Commission is soliciting proposals from qualified
contractors to prepare Remedial Action Plan (RAP) updates for five Areas
of Concern (AOC) designated under the Great Lakes Water Quality
Agreement.  Up to $100,000 is available to support this work, with a 25
percent match requirement.  Applicants may propose to prepare updates
for all five of the AOCs, or a subset thereof.  Eligible applicants
include units of government, academic institutions, and nonprofit
organizations as well as for-profit consulting firms.

The deadline for submitting proposals is Friday, June 8.

The AOCs for which RAP updates will be prepared are the Manistique
River, Muskegon Lake, River Raisin, Saginaw River/Bay, and White Lake.
Work will be conducted between July 16, 2001 and July 31, 2002.

conducted, the funding available, proposal guidelines and other details

also provides links to Internet sites with additional information on
