Oakland and Macomb counties air got dirtier too.  See May 1 Detroit News 
front page. I think Oakland Co. was listed as the 22 worst air in the nation. 
 

re Benzonia and surrounding area:  The trees are frying in the Sleeping Bear 
Dunes National Park.

On Monday, the Benzonia and surrounding NW Michigan region was the
most ozone polluted place in the United States and
the only location to show health standard violations
in the entire U.S.

In addition, this location
generally tends to show very long periods of ozone exposure
going from mid-afternoon until late evening.

Looks like Keith Schneider and the MLUI put their
office in a "hot spot".....
