Again, as the state of Michigan considers allowing Perrier - a corporation
active in more than 140 countries - to withdrawal, bottle, and sell Great
Lakes ground water, perhaps it's wise to be mindful of the situations
affecting other water supplies throughout the nation.

Water tables are dropping 30 feet a year in some western regions, see below.

Costs rise as aquifers shrink
Sunday, June 24, 2001 - Beneath Denver and its south suburbs, water levels
are dropping by as much as 30 feet a year.
