Re: E-M:/ Lansing State Journal poll on Great Lakes Drilling

Enviro-Mich message from Murphwild1@aol.com

I also read some time last week (i think the Oakland Press or Detroit Free
Press) that the Michigan Legislature passed a symbolic, not real substantive
unfortunatley, form of resolution that would prohibit oil and gas drilling in
the Great Lakes, or at least those waters within Michigan jurisdiction.

Enviro-Mich message from Tom & Anne Woiwode <woiwode@voyager.net>

The State Journal's Capitol Question for readers this week is on Great Lakes
Drilling. Here are the details:

Capitol Question - Great Lakes oil
State officials are debating whether to allow additional oil and gas
drilling under the Great Lakes through a process called slant drilling from
the short. Gov. John Engler s among those who say it can be done safely,
while others warn of environmental risks to the lakes and shoreline. Do you
think the drilling should be allowed?

Please respond by noon Thursday and include a phone number here you can be
reached. Responses must be verified in order to be run. Results will be
published on Sunday.

You can:
