On July 26, 2001, there will be a risk communication program about the
recent Atofina Chemical Company explosion sponsored by the Southeast
Michigan Group of the Sierra Club and the Southeast Michigan Coalition on
Occupational Safety and Health.  We will be providing a community forum to
discuss the Atofina explosion and health effects to the community and
workers.  Steve Tackett, who is with the Michigan Department of
Environmental Health has been working with the U.S. EPA and the Agency for
Toxic Substances and Disease Registry Emergency Response Team will be

The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. at St. Elizabeth's Church at 138 Goodell
St. in Wyandotte, Michigan. Goodell St. is one block south of Goddard, off
of Jefferson.
