NATURAL RESOURCES COMMISSION TO MEET AUGUST 15 IN WISCONSIN & AUGUST 16-17 IN MENOMINEE

LANSING--The Natural Resources Commission (NRC) will hold a 
joint meeting with the Wisconsin Natural Resources Board on 
Wednesday, August 15, at the Best Western, Marinette, WI. 
Michigan Natural Resources Commission will hold its regular 
monthly meeting August 16-17, at the VFW Post 1887, 3937 
10th Street, Menominee, MI. 
The NRC & Wisconsin Natural Resources Board meet jointly on 
Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. (Central Time) at the Best Western, 
Marinette, WI. The NRC Policy Committee on Land Management 
convenes on Thursday at 1 p.m. (CT) at the AmericInn, 
Menominee; The Committee of the Whole convenes at 3 p.m. 
(CT) at the VFW Post 1887; Partners in Responsible 
Conservation Awards will take place at 4 p.m. (CT) and the 
regular meeting of the NRC will begin at 4:30 p.m. (CT) with 
public appearances, at the VFW Post 1887.
On Friday, August 17, the meeting begins at 8:30 a.m. (CT) 
at the VFW Post 1887, with reports from DNR Director K.L. 
Cool and staff. The Commission will receive information on 
several items, including: 
* Proposed: 2002 NRC Meeting Dates 
* Antlerless Deer License Purchase Limit
Commission action on these items is expected at the 
September meeting in Lansing.
A complete agenda for the August 16-17 meeting can be found

Information," then "Agendas and Minutes." The agenda also is 
available from Teresa Gloden at 517-373-2352.
The NRC invites interested citizens to make comments and 
recommendations at the meeting, and public appearances may 
be scheduled by calling Teresa Gloden at 517-373-2352.
