The Community Foundation for Southeastern Michigan is pleased to announce
the next grant cycle for the:

GreenWays Initiative

Two types of grants will be awarded:

Land Grants-- Grants to assist in funding the actual physical process of
assembling and constructing greenways in southeast Michigan, including
construction, habitat restoration, land acquisition and other land-related
activities; grants range from $25,000 to $1 million

Predevelopment Grants-- Grants to support the design, final-phase planning
and engineering work needed to prepare for the construction of a greenways
project; grants range from $5,000 to $100,000

Eligibility: Any 501(c)(3) public charity, any local governmental agency or
governmental unit or school district, or any collaborative combination of
the above, may apply.  Applicant organizations must be located in or serve
the seven counties of southeast Michigan (Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, Monroe,
Washtenaw, St. Clair and Livingston).

Application deadline is December 3, 2001
