MINERALS AND LEASE MANAGEMENT

 

SEALED BID LEASE AUCTION: Nonmetallic Minerals - Construction Sand, Gravel, Cobbles, Boulders and Clay rights to 559.70 acres of state-owned minerals located in Baraga, Chippewa, Emmet and Ontonagon counties were offered at a
sealed
bid auction on
October 31, 2001. Lease term will be a seven-year lease with a possible three-year extension if in the best interest of the state, plus the royalty rate bid per ton, with a minimum annual royalty rate of $5,000.
