Southwest Detroit, Dearborn Residents
 Speak Out On Freight Terminal

Communities For A Better Rail Alternative (CBRA) Thursday will address the
Detroit City Planning Commission on the proposed Detroit Intermodal Freight
Terminal (DIFT), a controversial mega-project of the Michigan Department of
Transportation that local residents say will undermine the renaissance of
southwest Detroit and south Dearborn.

WHO: Detroit City Planning Commission

WHAT: Public Hearing on proposed freight terminal

WHEN: 6 p.m., Thursday, December 6, 2001

WHERE: UAW Local 227, 4300 Lonyo (former Sergeant Romanowski Hall)

CBRA is a coalition of 40 organizations and more than 500 residents united
in opposition to MDOT's proposed DIFT and in favor of community friendly
alternatives.
