It is so disillusioning to find so many newpapers today that slant the news
so as to make the news. In my area, I would never put faith in an article in
the Ann Arbor News or the Monroe Evening News.  Have you ever been to a
public meeting, but couldn't recognize it the next day in the newspaper?
Have you ever written a Letter to the Editor, only to have your opinion
mangled so as to change its meaning? So many papers have little interest in
the subjects of the Michigan environment.

The smaller papers have a lot more truth, but often don't have the gumption
to risk a lawsuit  and go out of business over principle.
