BETTER SITE DESIGN: CHANGING DEVELOPMENT RULES IN YOUR COMMUNITY, GRAND
RAPIDS HILTON, GRAND RAPIDS, MICHIGAN.  The Watershed Management
Committee of the Michigan Water Environment Association (MWEA) and the
Michigan Department of Environmental Quality, among others, are
co-sponsoring this one-day seminar on how better site designs can
protect our streams, lakes, and wetlands.  This is a repeat of the
seminar held last December in Howell that was sold out.  A handbook
published by the Center for Watershed Protection will be used as a
textbook and will be provided to every registered attendee.  The
speakers will examine current practices in Michigan, detail the economic
and environmental benefits, and present case studies that demonstrate
the principles of better site designs.  Registration fee is $125 before
March 13 or $150 after March 13.  For more information and a

This seminar is recommended to local planning officials, elected
officials, development professionals, and community activists.
