Exploitation of Great Lakes Water?
The Perrier Proposal
The Lake Michigan Federation invites you to hear a presentation by the
Michigan Citizens for Water Conservation about Perrier's proposal and how
well Great Lakes waters are protected from being sold to other states or
countries.  The Perrier Group of America has evaluated springs in Mecosta
and Osceola counties, both of which are in Lake Michigan's watershed, to
extract as much as 720,000 gallons of spring water per day to bottle and

While water levels continue to drop, the time is now for citizens to fully
investigate and evaluate these proposals and their potential impact on
wells, lakes, streams, wetlands, and community quality of life.
