 CITIZENS WILL BE THERE!

WHY SHOULD YOU CARE TO GET INVOLVED AND WHAT ARE THE AFFECTS TO YOU AND YOUR
AND FAMILY FROM CONTAMINATION

St. Clair Shores, MI  - This Wednesday , June 5th, 2002 at 7:00 PM, at South
Lake High School Auditorium* there will be a Citizens PCB Forum run by
citizens for citizens.  The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the recent
disclosure of high levels of PCBs and other contaminants in area waterways

Jim Simmons, President of the citizen's group, Hands Across the River, and
Dr. Michael R. Harbut, MD, Chief of the Center for Occupational and
Environmental Medicine, answer questions about how the community can best
work together to address the affects of contamination found in the area and
discuss their experiences in dealing with PCBs.  Jim Simmons has been
organizing communities  for the last eleven years to address PCB and other
types of contamination.  The meeting will also offer an opportunity for
citizens to put all their questions on record.

*South Lake High School Auditorium is located at 21900 East Nine Mile Road
in St. Clair Shores, Michigan  48080 (between Harper Avenue and Mack
Avenue).
