A Ph.D. research assistantship is available at Michigan State University to
a motivated student concerned with integration of biological and human
dimensions of fishery management and decision research. We are searching
for a student who has aptitude in social science research and program
evaluation, experience in aquatic resource management, and skills in system
thinking and modeling. Agency experience is highly desirable.

This position will collaborate with another PhD student (position
advertised yesterday by Prof. Tracy Dobson), and work closely with Great
Lakes fishery researchers and managers.  However, the student will likely
travel to case study sites in the Pacific Northwest and elsewhere outside
the Great Lakes Basin.
