Governor Race Watchers,

For those watching the Governor's race in Michigan (all of us!), the Detroit
Free Press reports today a huge jump in the polls for David Bonior.  Bonior
is now tied with Blanchard at around 27%.  Granholm hovers around 34%.
The free press attributes the rise to TV ads, but misses the roll of a
grassroots effort on the part of the campaign to reach out to groups all
around the state.  For a tireless and aggressive campaigner who is accustom
to brawling campaigns in native Macomb this is well within striking
distance.
