With the kickoff of the Sierra Club's Campaign for the Freedom Options
Package for automobiles in Detroit in mid-June, the following NY Times story
about California's legislative action to cut tailpipe emissions will be of
interest to many in the motor capitol of the world.  AW


At the Front on Pollution

If a California Assembly bill that would require cuts in
tailpipe emissions of greenhouse gases is signed by Gov.
Gray Davis, automakers would suffer a major defeat.
