E-M:/ Yesterday's non-ozone action day smog

-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Enviro-Mich message from "Alex J. Sagady & Associates" <ajs@sagady.com>
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Although Monday was not supposed to be an ozone action
day because of expected meteorological conditions, sometimes
the atmosphere disobeys the predictions of the meteorologists.

Selected stations had high 8 hour ozone concentrations
on Monday (data subject to validation):

Port Huron 102 ppb
New Haven 93
Oak Park 85

Holland 106
Coloma 98
Jenison 86
Kalamazoo 86
Cassopolis 97

Holland spent 6 hours over 100 ppb yesterday. Port Huron
had 5 hours over 100 PPB

Notable 1 hour maximums:

Holland 116 PPB
Port Huron 114
Coloma 107
New Haven 105
Cassopolis 109

With Tuesday's frontal passage and cloudy conditions,
air quality will be good for the day today
