MEC STAFF ANNOUNCEMENT

Isaac Elnecave, the Michigan Environmental Council’s (MEC) Policy Specialist
on air quality and energy issues since late 1999, is relocating to
Massachusetts to join his fiancée and serve as Energy Efficiency Standards
Project Manager at the Northeast Energy Efficiency Partnership in Lexington,
Massachusetts.  Please join us in wishing Isaac the best – Michigan’s loss
is Massachusetts’ gain!

And please help us welcome David Gard, Isaac’s successor, to MEC.  David
earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Northwestern
University and a joint MBA/MS degree through the University of Michigan’s
Corporate Environmental Management Program.  David – who served in the U.S.
Navy and worked on a plan to reduce emissions from diesel engines as an
environmental policy intern at a major engine manufacturer – brings a unique
perspective to MEC and we look forward to his contributions.
