RE: Announcing the 4th annual Michigan 4-H Youth Conservation Council
(M4-HYCC)- an advanced teen leadership opportunity for youth ages 13-19
years old-- call for applications! APPLICATION DEADLINE- September 27, 2002.
The M4-HYCC is for teens interested in community service, leadership, &
politics!
(M4-HYCC) is a statewide teen leadership opportunity for 20 selected youth
ages 13-19. This group of teens choose a current environmental issue,
research it and then make recommendations to our state government policy
makers. The M4-HYCC meet in December & February for a weekend workshop and
are scheduled to give their presentation in Lansing during a weekday in
April. The Council members represent the six Extension regions and are
required to meet occasionally locally with their regional team members. The
Council communicates frequently using a listserv, e-mails and conference
calls. The most recent accomplishment of the M4-HYCC is the passing of SB
415 into law as Public Act 454. Visit the M4-HYCC website at
www.msu.edu/cyf/youth/m4hycc.html For applications or questions contact;
