E-M:/ Landon Holdings vs. White Lake Township

Enviro-Mich message from Shannon Carravallah <scarravall@yahoo.com>

Landon Holdings is back to its usual methods. If they
are nothing else they are terribly predictable.

The rezoning of 106 acres of farmland in White Lake
Township (Oakland County) to an R-3 mobile home park
was denied over the summer, so now Landon is suing.

White Lake Twp. has 6 existing mobile home parks which
is 6 times the national average. The existing parks
are already zoned for expansion and have literally
hundreds of homes unoccupied. The proposed area is
located off of a dirt road once nominated for a
Michigan Natural Beauty Road. This road presently
seeing 2000 trips of traffic a year would be paved and
would see
an estimated 2000 trips every couple of days. Public
water & sewer are not planned for this area.

Ruth & Ralph Ruggles who presently own the farmland
are also listed as plaintiffs in the suit.

Intervention in the suit by bordering homeowners is a
