E-M:/ Global Climate Change Workshop

Enviro-Mich message from Michele Scarborough <mec@voyager.net>

Global climate change is emerging as one of the most significant issues
facing industry and workers. To begin a dialogue between labor and
environmentalists, a workshop will be held on Thursday, November 21st at
the United Food and Commercial Workers (UFCW) hall, 876 Horace Brown
Street, Madison Heights, Michigan. The event is free and will last from
11 a.m. until 3 p.m. with lunch provided.

Beyond its immediate focus on global warming, the event will be a great
opportunity to build relationships with organized labor for work on
other environmental issues. Anyone is welcome to attend. Simply
forward name and contact information to David Gard at the Michigan
Environmental Council (davidmec@voyager.net or 517-487-9539). We look
forward to your participation!
