Final talk in the "SUSTAINABILITY: VISIONS FOR AN ALTERNATIVE FUTURE" fall series

"Sustainablism as Ethos" Prof. Richard Bawden, Visiting Distinguished University Professor, Monday, November 18th at 4:00pm in 317 Bessey Hall

Richard Bawden is a Visiting Distinguished University Professor from Australia where, for nearly two decades, he was Dean of Agriculture and Rural Development at the University of Western Sydney Hawkesbury. During that time, his College developed a unique approach to education based on a synthesis of experiential learning with systems thinking. Many innovative and creative ideas and strategies emerged during those experiences and in this session he will explore one of them: that sustainability is best approached as an ethos or guiding philosophy for action rather than a blueprint for an ideal state of the world".
