E-M:/ More quarry dewatering - public hearing

Enviro-Mich message from Julie Griess <jgriess@provide.net>

Note: Don't let this fool you into thinking that they already have a permit
for 5 million gallons. The current permit is a couple hundred thousand per
day. Now they want 5 million in a county where 75 percent of the groundwater
use is quarry dewatering, and all the wells in the area are dry. Also the
levels of solids and hydrogen sulfide that the permit proposes are way
beyond the levels for killing everything downsteam (this will be discharged
into Stony Creek, Monroe County, and then to Lake Erie). I believe the 10th
is the last day for public comment
