Re: E-M:/ Midland Daily News on the DOW/DEQ Consent Order

I find it interesting that Beth Medley Bellor of the The Midland Daily News
feels compelled to remove from her extraction of the AP story published in
the Detroit Free Press the "Ph.D." attribution
for Linda Dykema (Linda Larsen), the toxicologist
in the Michigan Department of Community Health.....

If this were old fashioned anti-female sexist minimizing of
the credentials of a female professional by a male reporter
it would at least be explainable.......

However, this time it appears to be good old fashioned longstanding
institutional pro-Dow bias at the Midland Daily News to minimize/obscure
the credentials of a state toxicologist criticizing a Dow-initiated
effort to relax risk-based cleanup requirements through a toxicology argument.
