E-M:/ Aquatic Nuisance Education Grants

Enviro-Mich message from "Martha Waszak" <WASZAKM@michigan.gov>

Michigan's waters are under assault from aquatic nuisance species (ANS).
To combat this assault, a small grants program has been established to
provide financial assistance to local information and education
initiatives to prevent and control ANS in Michigan waters.

Funding for this program is made available by the Office of the Great
Lakes through a grant from U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. The program
is administered by the Great Lakes Aquatic Habitat Network and Fund, a
project of the Tip of the Mitt Watershed Council.

Application deadline is April 11, 2003.

Information and grant application forms can be found at:
http://www.glhabitat.org/nuisance.html, or call Jill Kimble at
231-347-1181, extension 100.
