The Michigan Turfgrass Environmental Stewardship Program
partners the efforts of the turfgrass industry, state agencies, Michigan
State University, and environmental advocacy groups to advance the
environmental stewardship of the turfgrass industry and to recognize
environmental achievements. The program was launched in 1998 at MSU
and has over 220 participating courses. The program receives support
from Michigan Department of Agriculture, Michigan Turfgrass Foundation,
Michigan Department of Environmental Quality, and Golf Association of

Subject: E-M:/ Pollution prevention
resources/programs for golf courses
I am seeking information on pollution prevention
programs and/or resources for golf courses. This is for a community in
New Jersey, but I thought folks in Michigan might have ideas or suggestions
that would be helpful given the large number of golf courses in our
state.
I appreciate any advice, contacts, or referrals
to informational resources.
Thanks,
Matt Doss
