Friends,

 

Monday night in Oakland County the Senate Transportation Committee will hear public testimony about Governor Granholm’s Preserve First program, which prioritizes maintenance over new road building.  Oakland County Senator Shirley Johnson is fighting to restore funding to more the $400 million worth of road projects in the MDOT budget in defiance of Fix It First principles.  This committee meeting is an important opportunity for community members and activists to loudly proclaim their support for Granholm’s important Smart Growth policy.  The meeting details are pasted below.
