E-M:/ Whitman learns from Harding on Use of Staff and Resources

Looks like the Bush EPA has learned from the Engler DEQ on the “wise use” of personel and staff time and resources.  Interesting story in today’s Detroit News on moving EPA enforcement agents to useful things like to chauffeuring EPA chief Christie Whitman, making sure she gets a Lincoln Town car, that radio stations are turned to jazz music, and that Starbucks and Barnes and Noble is on the list of “stops.”  Typically agents are pulled from the criminal enforcement division for days at a time to provide for the Administrator.  Sometimes they get to return rental cars for her.  For those that might like to know, she likes to be called Governor by the way, rather than ma’am or Administrator.
