SOLAR ENERGY SEMINARS PLANNED

The Great Lakes Renewable Energy Association (GLREA) is offering Solar
Energy Seminars on:

       Saturday, May 17, 2003
       GLREA Energy Center
       257 S. Bridge St.
       Dimondale, MI

To Register: Call 800-434-9788 or go online at www.glrea.org

The seminars are presented by the Great Lakes Renewable Energy Association
(GLREA). These seminars will answer commonly asked questions about several
different types of solar applications: Solar Electricity and Solar Hot Water
Heating.

Instructor Dave Lankheet of Sundu Solar has been installing, repairing, and
building renewable energy systems for 25 years. He has been involved with
the installation of over 1,000 systems.

Seminar Schedule

9:00 am - 10:30 am Solar Photovoltaic Technology

Students will gain a basic understanding of the components that make up a
photovoltaic system and how photovoltaic works. Participants will learn
about: defining a load analysis, site selection, and energy efficiency
measures.

11:00 am - 12:30 pm Solar Hot Water Heating

Learn how to use the sun's energy to heat water for domestic use (showers,
sinks, clothes washer). Domestic hot water systems are easy to install, and
often pay for themselves in energy savings in just a few years. Topics
include: site selection, basic installation techniques, and system sizing.

Cost of Seminars:

One Seminar $15 (Members - $10)
Two Seminars $25 (Members - $20)
