E-M:/ 7 PM smog report

Enviro-Mich message from "Alex J. Sagady & Associates" <ajs@sagady.com>

As of 5 PM, 14 of MDEQ's 24 ozone air monitors around
the state are showing ozone concentrations at or above the
85 ppb 8 hour average health standard. However, before the
evening is out, most of the rest of Michigan ozone monitoring
sites will likely show 8 hour averages over 85 ppb health number.

New Haven and Detroit East 7 Mile have shown 1 hour
averages over 100 ppb for the last 3 hours. Jenison and Muskegon
has been over 100 ppb for the last 2 hours. Last hour
Warren and Rose Lake (clinton county near Lansing)
was over 100 ppb. Several other sites in the state
are in the high 90s in the last hour.

MDEQ has extended the high smog prediction to
Tuesday for both western and southeastern Michigan.
