Lake Michigan Mass Balance Atrazine Report Now Available Online

The Lake Michigan Mass Balance (LMMB) Study is a multi-media monitoring
program developed to measure and model the movement of four key
pollutants (atrazine, polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), mercury and
trans-nonachlor) in the Lake Michigan ecosystem.  The study results are
intended to aid environmental
managers with predicting the benefits associated with different
reduction scenarios.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Great Lakes National Program
Office recently posted the results from the atrazine sampling effort
online.  This document, "The Results of the Lake Michigan Mass Balance
Study: Atrazine Data Report", is available at
http://www.epa.gov/glnpo/lmmb/results/atra_datarpt.html. This document
will not be available in paper copy.

The document is one in a series of data reports that documents the
project.  Future documents will present the results of mass balance
