E-M:/ DEQ hearing re: wetlands destruction

Public Hearing
Thursday September 4, 2003 at the East Bay Township Hall, Traverse City,  1pm.

A DEQ Public Hearing is scheduled for September 4th at 1 pm at the East Bay Township Hall. The purpose of the hearing is for DEQ officials to hear public comment on two applications for permits submitted by William Clous to build bridges over two streams on his East Bay Township property.
Up to 90 acres of property owned by Clous were destroyed, including three streams, without the proper permits.
We are opposed to any permitting for any purpose until all of the violations have been resolved and the streams and wetlands totally restored. The East Bay Township Hall is located just south of the Hammond Road on Three Mile Road (1965 Three Mile Road).
