Michigan's US Senators split on the McCain Lieberman Climate Stewardship
Act, S. 139, which was voted on this afternoon -- Senator Levin opposed
this effort to bring about reductions in the production of global
warming gases, while Senator Stabenow took the pro-environmental stance
of voting for the bill.
