E-M:/ GLFT accepting education proposals

Enviro-Mich message from "Julie Metty Bennett" <jmettybennett@pscinc.com>

The Great Lakes Fishery Trust (GLFT) is now accepting proposals for Great Lakes ecosystem education projects in the focus areas listed below. Proposals from educational, governmental, tribal, and nonprofit institutions with a 501(c)(3) designation from the IRS are encouraged.
The GLFT is accepting proposals for updating and disseminating existing Great Lakes youth ecosystem education material. This includes projects that
enhance or refine existing Great Lakes ecosystem education curricula or other educational materials and/or
disseminate existing or updated materials in an expanded, new, or unique manner. This is not limited to actual reproduction and mailing of materials but may include professional development tools to disseminate materials as well.
For information about proposal requirements and application procedures, visit the GLFT Web site at www.glft.org (click on Apply for Grants and then the education category). The Great Lakes Fishery Trust will only accept proposals submitted electronically on or before 5:00 P.M., February 25, 2004. Proposals that are not submitted electronically or are submitted after the February 25 deadline will not be considered for funding. Grants are targeted for award in May 2004.
The mission of the GLFT is to provide funding to enhance, protect, and rehabilitate Great Lakes fishery resources to compensate for lost use and enjoyment caused by the operation of the Ludington Pumped Storage Plant.
