Nuclear plant has brief water leak

BRIDGMAN, Mich. (AP) -- The Cook Nuclear Plant had a
minor water leak in the system that cools the reactor,
causing the plant to briefly go into emergency
operations Friday evening. 

A filter that cleans water before it is put into the
coolant system sprung a leak, causing radioactive
water to dump onto the floor and into a containment
system about 6:30 p.m., Schalk said.
