E-M:/ Well and Septic Workshop

The Michigan Groundwater Stewardship Program and Shiawassee County Health Department will hold a FREE drinking water well and septic system workshop for the residents of Shiawassee County. The purpose of the workshop is to increase understanding about how these systems work, how they can effect people's health, and how they can be properly maintained to prevent environmental contamination and health problems.

It will be held on January 5th, 2004 at the Shiawassee Regional Education Service District  building in Corunna at 1025 N. Shiawassee. The workshop will begin at 6:00 p.m. and run until 8:30 p.m.

Workshop topics include: well and septic permitting, maintenance, water testing, and abandoned well closure. Attendees will receive an information packet and Home*A*Syst guide.
