For those interested, come hear former Detroit Bureau Chief, Keith Bradsher, talk about the rise of and dangers associated with SUV's.  Next week, at the UM's School of Natural Resources and Environment.  CG

Keith Bradsher, a correspondent for the New York Times who was its Detroit bureau chief from 1996 to 2001 will speak on the topic of his new book, "High and Mighty: SUVs - The World's Most Dangerous Vehicles and How They Got That Way".  His expose` on the safety and environmental record of SUVs delves into the legal regulations and the marketplace forces that led to their proliferation.
The lecture will be held on Wednesday, February 4 at the University of Michigan's School of Natural Resources and Environment, Room 1040 in the Dana Building at 4:00p to 5:00p.  This event is sponsored by the Center for Sustainable Systems and the Office for the Study of Automotive Transportation.
