Biodiesel Display Appears at Local Earth Day Events

Interest in biofuels has recently increased in response to American reliance
on foreign oil in addition to dramatically rising utility bills. The use of
alternative fuels steadily reduces dependence on crude oil, thereby
increasing local economic development and significantly reducing greenhouse
gas buildup, a major contributor to global climate change.

On Thursday, April 22nd, the Urban Options Biodiesel Display will be
featured, among other displays and presentations, on the lawn of the State
Capitol in downtown Lansing from 10am- 4pm, and from 5pm-8pm at the Urban
Options Earth Day Potluck.

The display features information on how to make your own biodiesel, where it
can be purchased, and what its benefits are. It also includes links to web
resources with further information on biodiesel.
