EPA to hold public meeting on proposed Black Lagoon Dredging Project in

CHICAGO (April 23, 2004) — U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Region 5
and federal, state and local planners will hold a public meeting on the
proposed Black Lagoon dredging project in Trenton, Mich., from 7 p.m. to 9
p.m. on Thursday April 29 at the Westfield Center, 2700 Westfield Road,

The Great Lakes Legacy Act and specific design and implementation details
for the proposed  project will be discussed.

The meeting will include presentations and opportunities to ask questions
of the project partners: city of Trenton, EPA’s Great Lakes National
Program office, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Michigan Department of
Environmental Quality and the Detroit River Navigator.
