Financing Energy Improvements

Learn how to save up to $400 annually on your utility bills and finance
energy improvements for your home.
Urban Options (U.O.), an East Lansing based energy resource center,
teams with Joe Weise, Indigo Financial Group, and Doug Black, Enerficiency,
to hold a seminar to teach homeowners ways to save money by using less
energy and how they may finance the improvements. The event takes place at
U.O., Thursday, June 24, 6:00-7:30 pm.
If only ONE house was made more energy efficient, 3 Tons of CO2 would be
prevented from entering our air. According to the ENERGY STAR website, the
typical homeowner spends $1,400 a year on energy bills. Discover simple
home improvement techniques that promote energy conservation, save up to 30%
on utilities, and preserve the environment.
Also, become familiar with Energy efficient mortgages (EEMs), the secret
that 99.9% of mortgage companies don't know about.
By using ENERGY STAR products, last year, Americans saved enough energy
to power 20 million homes and avoid greenhouse gas emissions equivalent to
those from 18 million cars, saving $9 billion.
Frequently, the use of energy efficient products are limited due to
finances. This presentation covers opportunities for energy efficient
improvements, including how to apply for an EEM.
