E-M:/ 6/28 is 30th anniversary of first scientific paper on ozone depletion

Enviro-Mich message from "Alex J. Sagady & Associates" <ajs@sagady.com>

Monday, June 28 is the 30th anniversary of the first
scientific paper on the matter of chloroflourocarbons
and stratospheric ozone depletion in the atmosphere,
and subsequent effects of increased ultraviolet light
at the earth's surface.

Jeffrey Masters, Ph.D. Chief Meteorologist for the Weather
Underground, Michigan's very own international "killer" weather web site
at http://www.wunderground.com (become a member
@ $5/year and avoid the ads), has published a great
retrospective on this issue with a recitation of all of the
attacks made on the issue and the people who brought this
important public health and environmental issue to the
forefront. The piece, which includes imagery of the record
ozone depletion over antarctica occurring in year 2000, is
called "The Skeptics vs. the Ozone Hole" and can be
reached at (be sure to scroll down):

Former Michigan congressional rep. Lynn Rivers is mentioned in
the piece.
